Outdoor Skiing - H2O
Basecamp Northwest Norway
On land and sea
With H2O in all its forms – water, ice, snow, sea – we have every opportunity to unfold in nature.
The school is located by the sea - surrounded by the mighty mountains of Northwest Norway, so the conditions here are ideal for many types of outdoor activities. Through trips, activities and overnight stays outdoors, you will gain knowledge and experience of living in nature. At Ski-H2O you will have challenges and experiences together with your teacher and your class that you will never forget. Skiing is an important part of the course. We start before Christmas in alpine resorts and lay the foundation for climbing Northwest Norway's fantastic peaks on skis throughout the winter/spring.
Skiing in stunning surroundings
Nordvestlandet Folk High School is perfectly located for what we will be doing this year. A short distance from the school we have some of Norway's longest ski runs, untouched powder snow, surfing beaches and an archipelago with islets and islands.
In the fall we try many different activities. We go on mountain hikes, try river rafting, ice skating, water skiing and wakeboarding etc. When the snow comes, the ski season starts. In the winter, skiing in alpine resorts and on top tours is our main activity and you will learn how to plan and carry out your own trips in a safe way. Chances are you will discover new talents and find a new favorite activity that you can do for the rest of your life.
